What are the most important things I should think about in a bathroom renovation?

There are a few things to think about:

Layout – what’s the best use of space and can you make your bathroom ‘flow’ better?
Storage – can you find ways to prevent clutter building up with clever storage solutions?
Fixtures and fittings – what do you want your new bathroom to look like?
Ventilation – how are you going to remove moisture and prevent mould buildup?

Dave and his crew from Sawtell Bathrooms just completed the renovation of our main bathroom and downstairs laundry/bathroom area. It was a complicated job as one was above the other and we needed to be able to use one of the bathrooms during the work! They worked with us to minimize the mess and disruption to our lives and kept us informed as to progress. They did a wonderful job in a timely manner. It feels as if we have our spa!

A neighbour recommended Dave to me when I talked about doing our bathroom renovation myself. After looking at his new bathroom, I contacted Dave and discussed the renovation with him. He gave me a quotation and convinced me that he could do the work within our timeframe and at a reasonable price. And he was true to his word. We had a complete renovation of our bathroom, ensuite and laundry completed by Dave and his team from Black Dog Plumbing. We were impressed with the professionalism and quality of service we received from start to finish. The initial quote was thorough and was put together with recommended products which were were able to swap. Dave put a lot of effort into helping us come up with our final layouts which we love and guided us in all our decision-making. Dave seamlessly coordinated the whole process including contracts, insurance, ordering, delivery, waste removal, tilers, carpenters, tilers and waterproofing. We recently had our old bathroom re done by Dave and Black Dog Plumbing. I was a bit apprehensive as we wanted something a bit different, ie, keeping some of the interesting 1960s elements of the bathroom intact and renovating in a sympathetic style to the era. We already knew that Dave’s work was excellent, having had a partial reno to another area earlier in the year. I have to say that Dave was extremely open to our ideas as well as giving great advice regarding the fine details.
